Officials from the Department of Homeland Security briefed several members of the House of Representatives Wednesday on potential risks to their security from right-wing extremists, in the wake of last Wednesday’s deadly raid on the Capitol building. It was only once they began the briefing that they realized several of the people they were briefing were themselves the right-wing extremists they were referring to.

DHS Agent: It was really helpful, actually, because we had these perfect visual aids. We didn’t have to show photographs of the individuals in question because they were sitting right in front of us. We just pointed.

Anchor: The agents even got help they weren’t expecting.

DHS: Congresswoman Taylor Greene approached us and said she had a tip on a member of Congress who had sympathized with the rioters and was a right-wing extremist. She said this person was also a believer in the QAnon conspiracy theory. She said the person’s name was Marjorie Taylor Greene.
